We’d purchased afternoon tickets for the Picasso Museum, meaning we could catch a later, less busy train and have a more relaxing journey into Barcelona Arc de Triomf station on Tuesday 27 February. We planned to visit the old part of the city and had lunch in a courtyard cafe beside the Picasso Museum before going in.
After visiting the museum we wandered the city for a while before finding a very good restaurant close to Arc de Triomf for supper. We were served an excellent selection of food and wines by a most engaging group of staff at Restaurant Torres. Taking the train back after another most enjoyable ‘city day’ we decide to drive south again tomorrow as we need to be in la Herradura for the weekend. Barcelona will certainly be on our ‘go there again’ list though!
